School History
1935 Nagoya Railroad School Founded
1948 Koryo Senior High School Founded
1953 Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) Founded
1990 NUCB Graduate School Founded
2003 Nagoya International Junior High School Founded
2004 First Class Trip to London (2nd Year Students)
Tennis Team Won Fourth Place at the Inter-High Tournament
2005 Students sang the Canadian National Anthem at the Canadian Pavilion at the World’s Fair in Aichi
The tennis team participated in the Inter-High national tournament and won the consolation trophy
NIHS held its first Culture Festival and its first Lecture for International Understanding
The inaugural student cohort graduated from the new junior high school.
2006 The girls and boys on the field hockey team participated in the Tokai regional tournamen
NIHS held the first study abroad program for students in the fifth grade
Students studied at the University of Alberta in Canada and visited the United Nations complex in New York City
2007 The boys’ field hockey team participated in the Inter-High competition
NIHS hosted the national Private School Summit(54 schools and 150 guests participated)
2008 NIHS held its first annual Frontier Cup English Speech Contest for elementary and junior high school students
The Ministry of Education and Science selected NIHS as a “Model School of Educational Reform”
An NIHS student won the Aichi qualification round and participated in the final round of the Takamado Omiya English Speech Contest in Tokyo
2009 A tennis club female athlete made the best 16 at the national tournament
The team made best 32 at the same tournament
An NIHS student advanced to the final round of the national Takamado Omiya English Speech Contest
Three female tennis players advanced to the Inter-High tournament
A group of NIHS students made an initial visit to our new sister school—Yio Chu Kang Secondary School in Singapore
2010 Students from Green View School in Singapore visited NIHS

2011 NIHS, in cooperation with an NGO, established a two-week volunteer program in the Philippines

Students from our sister school, La Salle Green Hills in the Philippines, visited our school for one week
2012 Students from our Thai sister school, Kanchananukroh, visited NIHS for one week
Students from our Singapore sister school, Yio Chu Kang, visited NIHS for one week
Students from our New Zealand sister school, Nelson College, visited NIHS for one week
Students from our UK sister school, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, visited NIHS for one week
NIHS started a special program and sent students to Harvard and MIT for two weeks
