The modern society in which we find ourselves living presents us with an unstable international situation, rapid advances in information technology and environmental challenges. We confront enormous changes in our world.
It is vitally necessary that we educate our students to acquire the ability to speak foreign languages so that they can communicate and have dialogue with people from other cultures, other ethnicities and other religions and to understand and respect our differences. This is one of our program’s fundamental goals―education for international understanding. At our school, we place great emphasis on learning English, since that is the de facto common language of the world. Our Japanese teachers and our ten Native English teachers work closely together to ensure that our students become proficient in speaking “living English”. We have designed a school environment that makes it possible for our students to become internationally minded in a natural manner and to reach their potential. This is our school’s fundamental mission. At Nagoya International Junior and Senior High School, we seek to nurture passionate students who wish to thrive on the international stage.
